"And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."
Jude 1:23 (KJV)The Youth Mentorship Ministry of The Pool of Siloam Reach-Out Ministries exists to rescue young people from the destructive influences of sin, hopelessness, violence, addiction, broken identity, and spiritual darkness by introducing them to the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
We believe every young person has been created with divine purpose. Before society labeled them, before failure discouraged them, before the enemy attempted to destroy them, God already had a plan for their lives.
Our mission is not simply to keep youth occupied.
Our mission is to make disciples.
Our calling is to "Snatch Souls Out of the Fire."
Young people are not the Church of tomorrow. They are a part of the Church of today.
Strength alone is never enough. Strength guided by God's Word becomes spiritual power. Our responsibility is to help young people discover that strength while teaching them wisdom, holiness, humility, and purpose.
Today's young people face many battles
Today's young people are under attack. Broken homes. Street violence. Drugs. Confusion. Depression. Fear. Rejection. Identity struggles. Hopelessness. Yet God is still calling them, strengthening them, and raising up a generation that will stand for His Kingdom.
Jesus looked beyond people's failures and saw their future. We are called to do the same.
Mentorship is more than giving adviceāit is walking beside someone until they learn to walk with Christ.
Jesus mentored twelve ordinary men. He taught them, corrected them, loved them, prayed for them, served them, and finally sent them.
Every young person deserves someone who will:
Every young person deserves someone who will listen without condemnation, speak truth in love, pray faithfully, encourage spiritual growth, restore after failure, celebrate victories, hold them accountable, and continually point them toward Jesus Christ.
"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth..."
"Train up a child in the way he should go..."
"Let no man despise thy youth..."
"Say not, I am a child..."
"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word."
We do not see troubled youth.
We see future pastors, teachers, missionaries, entrepreneurs, fathers, mothers, community leaders, prayer warriors, and Kingdom builders.
Our responsibility is to help them discover what God already sees.
Following the biblical pattern, mature men mentor young men while mature women mentor young women.
Godly men mentor young men through biblical discipleship, character development, leadership training, accountability, career guidance, life skills, spiritual maturity, and true brotherhood. Our goal is not simply to produce successful young men, but faithful men of God who lead with integrity, courage, and compassion.
As Pastor, I carry a unique responsibility to mentor young men personally. God has allowed me to connect naturally with young people. My desire is not simply to gain their attention but to lead them into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Women of proven Christian character mentor young ladies through biblical womanhood, godly identity, purity, wisdom, emotional health, family values, prayer, and Christian leadership according to Titus 2.
We seek to lead every young person into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, teach biblical truth in practical ways, develop Christ-like character, strengthen families, help young people discover their spiritual gifts, equip future leaders, prepare them for adulthood, and raise lifelong disciples who will make disciples of others.
We meet young people where they are. Through community outreach, school partnerships, food distribution, sports activities, creative arts, technology and media, Bible studies, mentorship groups, family events, one-on-one discipleship, and community service, every encounter becomes another opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Every event becomes another opportunity to share the Gospel.
We commit ourselves to loving every young person regardless of their background.
We refuse to define youth by their past mistakes.
We choose to see them through God's eyes.
Above all, we will faithfully proclaim Jesus Christ, for He alone has the power to transform lives.
Every generation is one generation away from losing its spiritual foundation.
Therefore, we accept the call to mentor, disciple, encourage, challenge, and love this generation until they become mature followers of Jesus Christ.
